This week in Social Studies we are finishing up Standard 4a Motivations, Obstacles, Accomplishments, and Regions Explored by early explorers. Students should be familiar with the standard and the assigned textbook readings, journal pages should be pencilled in, and a corresponding PowerPoint should be submitted. We will have an open note quiz on Wednesday and Thursday the Naglieri test will be administered.

It was a pleasure meeting so many of you during Touch Base Conferences! I am grateful to work with such a supportive community. The question I heard the most was, “What can I do to support my child at home?” so I thought I’d answer that question to all. Ask your child to explain to you in their own words what they’ve written in their Social Studies journal. You can also refer to my journal pages on the Room 1204 website if needed.
